L.O.B.
CROCKETT’S THEME
NEBULA

‘Crockett’s Theme’, Miami Vice’s most famous tune was a hit all over the world, twenty years on its atmospheric synth hook still feels like a brilliant US answer to Jean Michel Jarre’s futuristic classical-pop. The beautiful calming piece made its way back into the electro clubs only a while ago when Sweden’s FPU re-recorded the track for Tiga’s label Turbo. Now it’s L.O.B. aka Lys & Omar B who are paying homage to the ‘so uncool, he’s long been dead cool’ Jan Hammer. The pair’s had various releases on Oxyd and you instantly recognise the Italian label’s cachet (thumpy electro-house with a pop lick). Linus Loves provides another synth-house excursion in the vein of his recent remixes.
