MARTIN BUTTRICH
CLOUDY BAY
POKER FLAT

From his Hannover Time Tools studio, Buttrich has been producing the likes of Timo Maas and Locodice for over a decade and is now starting to make a solid name for himself on the back of his own productions (Four.Twenty, Planet-E); here’s his first EP for Poker Flat. A deep house soundclash between a string section and velvety keys (obviously made with ‘Strings Of Life’ in mind), ‘Cloudy Bay’ is a groover that subtly grows in you. On the flip ‘What’s Your Name’ offers a slice of cinematic house that’s perfectly suited for cosy come-downs whilst ‘Lazy Bastard’ is like minimal samba, shuffly and sexy in a kinda Senor Coconut doing Kraftwerk way.
