Having recorded for the crème of US house labels over the last decade, including Wave, Chez Music, King Street, and Masters At Work, Heilbronn now arrives at the door of Satoshi Tomiie’s forward-thinking home. Instead of plying his deep and soulful house studio savvy of old, Matthias instead fuses classic piano chords (think those famous Red Zone riffs from ‘Where Love Lives’) and adds acids synths, percussive-driven melodies and a general feeling of euphoria. The resultant is an instrumental that builds-and-builds before finally reaching a crescendo that boarder on Josh Wink-territory. Refreshingly different.
