A, funky beat and Funky and racey, ‘Get Down’ starts quite innocently with funky beats but as the hypnotic groove settles in, a fat nagging synthbass takes the lead and pushes the track in some kind of lush electro-prog direction. (127 BPM). On theflip ‘Watch Ur Back’ is a more traditional discoey offering that’s engaging enough to stand proud in its own right. The tastefully named Kraak & Smaak have a first single out taken their forthcoming debut album ‘Boogie Angst’. Sounding like a housed-up Les Rythmes Digitales, ‘Money In The Bag’ is one for the parties. Remix-wise Crazy Penis go all soft whilst Sharam Jey reminds us he too has strong roots in electro-funk.
