RED & BLUE
DRILLER
MINIMAL

Is progressive house going techy? It would seem so listening to these two raucous 12”s. With chunky tribal beats and a killer machine-gun synth hook, ‘Driller’ isn’t as unpleasant as you’d dread but boy does it rock. Red & Blue sure have come up with an awesome peaktime beast that builds and builds to mad heights (129 BPM), on the flip the Barry Gilbey remix is quite eventful too. Deep yet driving ‘New Blue Dawn’ isn’t as full on but incorporates well some raw industrial noises and pitched-up synths, giving a mental edge to this sizzling hypnotic track (132).
