More album samplers from hot new trance sensation Re:Locate; behind this anonymous moniker hides Paul Moelands, a talented young man with a trustworthy set of ears. On sampler 2/3, ‘Alcatraz’, produced in collaboration with Midor, is standard pumping euro-trance but joyful enough to work. Made with Menno De Jong, another young gun, the nostalgic ‘Spirit’ is pleasantly evocative and still banging; only one breakdown but what a drop. On 3/3, ‘Jetstream’, with Thomas Bronzvaer, is not as straightforward, however techy stormer ‘Samburu’ on the flip saves the day thanks to some fitting ethnic chants.
