On the ‘Zurich EP’ DJ Gogo and G Calabro aka Yin & Yunk deliver an impressive slab of hypnotic and dirty progressive breaks. Well produced, ‘Westside’ builds and builds, rising the tension up to a different kind of breakdown with euphoric orchestra samples (127 BPM). Techno tribal? Roel H is a 17 year old Dutch producer whose debut on Focus is worth mentioning. If the deep and floaty ‘Provocative’ is ok, it’s ‘Acid Feel’ on the flip which stands out. Taking a leaf from Hardfloor’s book, the competent lad goes right into one and delivers an acid twister that’s ingenuously pushing the boundaries of the genre.
