Richard Seeley – Maria EP (Glue Music) (15/07)

Richard Seeley’s Glue Music imprint has played host to the likes of Bruno Pronsato, Justin Drake and Eddie Richards in the past, in the form of original music and remix works alike. Next up for release is label owner Richard Seeley’s ‘Maria’ EP, which will be the label’s first ever vinyl release.
The title track Maria is a smooth, summery affair. With it’s base layer of soft trembling kick drums and soft hats, the warm chords filter up, along with the distant vocals, to create a wonderfully hazy summer feel. The second track on the EP, ‘Got The Taste’ takes things up a notch. With its whirring bassline and tribal drum loops, this one is designed for the after-hours dancefloor. German DJ and producer Beaner steps up for remix duty on the last track of the release. Taking the original summer feel of the title track ‘Maria’, Beaner adds a bumpier bassline and military style snare drum to create a more DJ friendly rework.
