Originally released in 2000 together with French act Superfunk the Chris Rea sampling anthem is now back with a brand new set of remixes on the ever reliable Great Stuff stable. Ron Carroll’s impressive career has been injected with power by this 500.000 copies selling banger as well as it has with his timeless vocal for Hardsoul’s ‘Back Together’. Often reduced to his singing performances, Ron is actually a top DJ and producer as well, a fact he has underlined with numerous releases and DJ appearances all over the world. The new mixes are nicely executed, versions from Mike Vale and Chip x Dale will certainly please the more commercial headz, whilst veteran Martijn ten Velden’s take is the one that’s probably closest to the classic Original from 2000. My personal pick however is the pumping and haunting update from Rene´Amesz, who transforms the track into the here and now with a version that you surely will hear on worldwide dancefloors soon.
