If you like dance music that is epic and grand in its intention then this label is one for you. Not Another is that label and now for their fifth release they serve up some sizzling tracks from Shades of Light with a bunch of different remixes.
Nobody Else goes first and is a dramatic tech cut with widescreen synths that are intense and nervy. Softness comes from the vocals and a big breakdown means this one is emotive stuff indeed. Proggy and deep but also driven, it is ripe for remixing and that’s what happens twice. Malbetrieb takes it even deeper and stripes out the synth based drama for a more spooky and subdued feel and Oovation goes the other way, layering in more dark synth chords and a creeping sense of tension. Behavioral Techrapy is next up in original terms and over eight minutes strikes a steady pose. Industrial vibes and deflate landscapes come to mind as this one rolls on through big dark synth arcs and supple tech drums. A Comuno mix strips things back to wide open deep space techno echo chambers and Ilino goes harder, with some nice steppy melodies and brisk drum work. All in all a thundering package.
