Soul Slayerz – ‘The Black Sun EP’ – (GLOBAL DIPLOMACY)

Suddenly the Afro wave hit us all with many releases digging in that genre right in summertime. N’Dinga Gaba’s Global Diplomacy label is a leading imprint when it comes to that sound, thanks to N’Dinga’s own roots in Africa, which he is able to combine with nice spheric Deep House elements to create his trademark sound. When it comes to signings for the label, the boss himself takes immense care of that trademark sound at that’s exactly what we all can hear with this new release. The Soul Slayerz return to Global Diplomacy with a huge Afro House EP entitled ‘The Black Sun EP’. The duo’s debut release ‘ A Mother’s Tongue’ made a big first impression with high chart placement and great support from the world’s top DJ’s and tastemakers. The title song ‘The Black Sun’ is a main floor banger with syncopated afro beats, a quirky vocal sample and an infectious groove sure to light fire to your dance floors!!! Next up, The ‘Slayerz’ take us to a darker side of their superb production skills with the Afro Tech stormer ‘The Wreckoning’. Rounding out the EP is the ever ethereal ‘ASO (African Space Odyssey) 2016’. Crisp beats, space-y pads and a rock solid groove make this one perfect for the late nights/ Early Mornings. This EP sums up perfectly the many facets of Afro from soulful to more deep & techy. Wonderful!
