The title track cleverly references one my favourite electronic artists from the 80/90’s subtly embracing their playful yet forward thinking adventures in sound. ‘Showtime’ sequences smoky grooves together with fiery drums and an undulating, addictive sense of unease via the repeating synthesizers. The self explanatory, ‘Songless’ follows in a deeper vein with uncomplicated beats and bass still feeling suitably commanding, leaving the impressive final track ‘Uncomfortable’ to end with yet more intense, swirling atmosphere’s teasing out just the right amount of brutal funkiness.
