Break off from hosing down the donkey’s knackers and raise a howl for the return of South London house vet Grant Dell to the Boston-based label he booted off the launch-pad five years ago with ‘Love Tilt’. ‘Kozak’ lopes and rattles along contagiously, sparking weird metallic effects, preparing the melon for something large then up booms the proverbial blue whale’s exploding scrotum of a bass-line; a veritable low-end depth charge which can sound devastating on a big rig. ‘House Tribute’ and claustrophobic ‘Don’t Need Ya’ are similarly well versed in the fine art of tech-flecked house and subterranean groove momentum, the latter getting a spectacular remix from Chicago’s Angel Alanis, brandishing a cacophony of rabble-rousing horns. Great set all round.
