Mexico’s Robbie Akbal was Supernature’s first release back in 2008. Now he hooks up with fellow countryman Camilio Alvarez and comes up trumps with a flowing house loper draped in whispery female vocals and ghostly effects, the groove stripped to pulsating loincloth levels by Luca Bachetti on his remix. ‘La Roca’ and ‘Ruta 307’ continue the shadowy shuffle, the latter a particularly fine outing somewhat recalling early 90s NY dubscapes. Nice EP, shame it’s only digital.
