VALENT. – AMON EP (BE AS ONE) (20/07)

Shlomi Aber’s Be As One label is a leader when it comes to club ruling tech house and techno. Now the label, always on the look out for hot new talents, finds one in the form of Valent. Valent is a German producer who serves up his first ever EP on the label and does so with four stunning tracks.

Up first, Crisis of Faith is over seven minutes of spine tingling tech house with seven chords and silky hi hats really getting under your skin. Next up is the much harder hitting Black Wool. This one has tough kicks driving down low and bendy elastic, back flipping acid lines up top. It makes for a new fluid groove that will suck you in make no mistake. Amon then again makes great use of a classic 303 sound as prickly acid gurgles and bubbles away above stern techno drums. The overall effect is heady and hypnotic and the well produced sounds really jump from the speakers. Last of all, Chemical is a rock solid roller with grey kicks, acid pricks and warehouse vibes to spare.
