1. Dance Disorder “Dance Disorder”(Radio Slave’s After The After Remix) CDR
Really interesting new act that should hopefully get the attention they deserve.
Matt “No Sleep” Edwards turns out one of his best remixes to date and twists and turns you like only he can. Deep as you like but still with enough energy to make the crowd jump and make fellow DJs rush to ask what it is!
2. Nic Fanciulli “Green Tea” CDR
Amazing track from Nic that I’ve been hammering for the last couple of months, really interesting and a new style from one of my favourite producers.
3. Liefco “Free Your Mind” (Bearweasel Lazy Dub) Akbal Music
Phenomenal remix from a production duo that are on fire right now, definitely check out their dj sets too if you get a chance. Sure to be a big record at this year’s Sonar.
4. Ralph Falcon “Every Now And Then” (K Dope Dubba Dub Mix) Nervous
Acid house mix from half of Masters At Work, this is a great rolling groove that really works.
5. Tom Budden “Fugazee” CDR
Amazing track from Tom that was a huge record for me recently at Panorama Bar – I played it 3 times!
6. Boola “Franzella” CDR
An amazing track from the Romanian producer who has also released on Innervisons and Rekids. I’ve been playing this every set since he sent it to me and I think it’s one of his best tracks to date. If you’ve heard any of the a:rpia:r guys or Ricardo Villalobos in the past few months then you would have heard this!
7. A Coyu and Edu Imbernon “El Baile Alerman” Liebe*Detail
This has been a secret weapon of mine for a while now and never fails to turn people’s heads (or ears). The track itself is great but what really makes it is the way it utilises a really quirky German vocal that just buries itself in your head hours after you’ve left the club. “Einfach !”
8. Julien Chaptal “Mamdaye”Remote Area
Excellent track on one of my favourite labels, this is straight up house and all the better for it. The track itself and the arrangement are spot on.
9. Spencer Parker “My Heart” (Daniel Sanchez Remix) Rekids
I’m so, so happy with this remix from the Dutch master, Mr Gimmk. Daniel is part of the whole Remote Area crew and he has absolutely excelled himself with this remix. Using parts of the percussion from the original he has created a full on techno/house monster that has been getting amazing reactions for me everywhere I have played it.
10. Spencer Parker “Never Stop The Action” CDR
I wanted to try something a little different and try to do a track in the style of the labels I used to really love like Henry Street, Roule and Crydamoure.
This uses an old disco break of a favourite record of mine and the reactions have been phenomenal thus far.
X Press 2 have been playing it a lot on their Kiss show and someone’s even done a video for it on YouTube! So maybe it’s not that bad….?
