Trainspotting with Mr V

1. Low Steppa & Mr. V – “My House” – Simma Black

I’ve always been a fan of Low Steppa and the minute he reached out to make a collaboration I was sold, this version which I love keeps what many consider to be simple house music chemistry at its finest.

2. Genetic Funk Feat. Mr. V – “The Believe” – Grounded Records

I love tracks with messages… it can’t always be about partying and putting your drinks up on every record, Genetic Funk delivered a track that needed to have that positivity we all seek in our most needed moments, this track captures what I tried to do and drives it home.

3. Gorgon City feat. Elder brook – “Smile (Walker & Royce Remix)” – Virgin

Everything these guys have been doing has been fire, Walker & Royce take it to that level though with this dance floor smasher, no matter where and when I play this it gets off, yet another master weapon in my playlist as of late.

4. Da Sunlounge Feat. Mikey V – “Never Get Enough” (Miguel Migs All Night Rub) – Salted

Miguel has been giving his signature west coast sexy house vibes for years and he displays it in full form without any room for error, I love every soulful, seductive vibe on this mix, a track that could jump start any party is this one, this yet proves why Migs is a legend in his own right.

5. Reelsoul – “Found A Way” – Sole Channel Music

Reelsoul has been 10 years plus in the game of House Music and for the past several years has been on a monster tear with some incredible mixes not to mention his own productions and this beauty of a production/rework showcases his incredible talent.

6. GormCouncil feat Nica Brooke – “Back Home” (Homero Espinosa Touch of Jazz Mix) – Doin Work Records

In the realm of going deep into the sounds of pure underground house you can find Homero Espinosa a young producer/remixer hailing from the Bay Areas of San Francisco/Oakland, Homero has been making impressive strides and Traxsource has shown him his proper due that many can’t argue, Homero is putting in work on this soulful gem I love.

7. Sean Sines & Derrick Carter – “Industry” – Dopewax Records

Everything about this track screams “DANCE LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING!!!!” the vibe, breakdowns, groove and signature bounce give this record its proper dance floor rinse, this record is heavy everywhere I play and I love everything about, solid release from the crew at Dopewax Records.

8. Tokita – “The Bass Drum” (Pezzner’s Aerobic Remix) – Nitegrooves

Pezzner….. i mean c’mon need I say more?? this man has seriously been doing awesome minimal deep house remixes for how long now?
If you never heard the man or don’t have his many classic cuts then its an honor to introduce you to his world.

9. Phil Weeks Feat. Ladybird – “She Can’t Love You” – Robsoul

This entire vocal drips with soul, I love this sampled out remake in every way, it pays homage the right way and keeps the integrity of the original in it’s purest form, plus Phil does a monster job keeping the groove intact.

10. Sheila Ford – “La Costa” – Quantize Recordings

Shiela Ford is a soulful queen in her own right and displays that magically in this monster remake of the late great Natalie Cole’s masterful song called “La Costa” which was revisioned by William “Reelsoul” Rodriguez and released on DJ Spen’s Quantize Imprint, def a must own forever.
