Rob Davy and Dylan Barnes have been writing music, producing, DJ’ing together as Mutiny UK for 25 years. So far their career has produced 5 Artist Albums, countless Compilations and numerous DJ residencies including Pacha Ibiza, Womb Tokyo, Ministry Of Sound, The End, Turnmills, Underwater and many more. They achieved National Top 40 successes with ’Secrets’ and ‘The Virus’, as well as successful remixes for Stereo MC’s, Basement Jaxx, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Bowsie, Myomi, Mike Delgado and Robbie Williams, to name a few. They’ve released music on Virgin, Underwater, Sony, Avex, MAW, Ministry, Southern Fried, Azuli Records, Bambossa, Detone, Origins and Axtone, among many more, as well as their own imprint, Sunflower Records. Ithurtz (It-hurts) is Rob Davy’s alter ego for crossing genres from Dance music, Hip Hop, classical and all things in between with works including a reworking of Erik Satie’s ‘Gnossienne No1’ and collaborations ‘Uppers & Downers with Thesemachines and the forthcoming Klaus Blatters ‘Ibiza Holiday’. We are really excited to put this record out on F*CLR. Every mix has such a feel to it. Both of us have delivered mixes around a vocal idea we had years back. Can’t wait to see how all the mixes are received.

2 JT Donaldson – Stay Inside Feat Liv.e (Sandy Rivera’s Extended Mix) – Classic Music Company

A Classic in the making. Memorable, Lush, uplifting, Happy, Sexy Music. Everything House music is for us. Just a beautiful record. Sandy always does this sort of thing so well.

3 DJ Tennis –  Atlanta (Original Mix) – Circo Loco Records

Such a fantastic record. Garage vibes with really laid back Piano Riff which seems to work as a big Club record or intimate bars. Add a beautiful bit of vocal Adlib and some building brass stabs……. It’s a late night dream of a record.

5 Disclosure – In My Arms – Disclosure

This is such a lovely reminder of Lush Simple House music from the 90’s but with Disclosure always pushing really strong production. Just hits the right note. It’s that late night London club vibe that we used to love doing for years. Has a nostalgic note. But as with all great records it’s timeless too.

6 Di Saronno – Shades Of Grey (Original Mix) – Moodyhouse Recordings

Really nice late, very late, night track. Great Samples and really warm production. Simple but uplifting.

7 Myomi – Burn Burn (Simon Ratcliffe’s Sand ‘n’ Stars Mix) – Sunflower Records

We have been playing this to death since Simon first did this remix. Lovely full modern latino style groove that just makes you wanna wiggle. One of our favourite records on Sunflower this last year. The original version is also a real Disco record with a great vocal. Just a fantastic release.

8 Scott Booth –  The End (Original Mix) – Jack Said What

Been listening to Scott lately. He is a new artist who creates all his music through his playing of guitars. Truly inspiring Musician. And production from our mate Steve Mac which is always amazing. His album drops early next year I think. This is a fantastic track. Listen loud. Also out on new label Jack Said What…. one to watch out for this year.

9 Kameelah Waheed – America  (Bruise Vocal) – F*CLR

Bruise really captured the soul of the vocal Kameelah Waheed was pushing. Just love the Funk Bass line and Garage beats all undertoned by that throbbing String pad. Lovely Track. Goes on a great Journey this one. Plus we love a key change. 🙂

10 Riva Starr – Maria (Carl Cox Remix) – Snatch Records

Bit of a curve ball this.Very Big, Very Loud, Very Fast but absolutely brilliant Carl Cox Remix. Lovely Latin Samples. Can be slowed down and works really well. Carl always does such a great job of getting the best out of tracks.
