MAU5TRAP & BEATPORT pres. MAU5HAX:
mau5trap and Beatport today announced mau5hax , an exclusive, private 8-hour music production session for aspiring DJs and producers to record new tracks with mau5trap recording artists on March 23 in Miami! mau5trap and Beatport will select five aspiring DJs/producers to be a part of this unique production session. They will have the opportunity to collaborate with mau5trap artists in a real- time, professional recording studio setting. Participants will get an inside look at the creative process and artistry behind one of the most influential labels in the dance music industry.
“We’re thrilled to partner with mau5trap on this once-in-a-lifetime experience for aspiring producers to spend a day collaborating with mau5trap artists and production experts from Beatport,” said Clark Warner, Executive Creative Director of Beatport. “We hope the sharing of knowledge and insider tips provided are an inspiration not only to the participants in Miami, but to producers and DJs watching the live stream from all over the world.” Using producer tools from Beatport’s SoundsToSample.com , participants will learn tips of the trade from mau5trap and Beatport professionals who will be on-hand to facilitate the production. The mau5hax music production session will be streamed live online, and the tracks created will be released the next day as free downloads on Beatport.
Announcing the event on Facebook, deadmau5 commented, “okay, here’s my big announcement thing… http://www.mau5hax.com/ boom. So in the spirit of staying away from the “same old shit” in Miami round WMC time, I’m taking a break from being on a fuckin stage and getting in the studio with you guys. So! A tent full of producing tools, computers and rad people. Lets just get together and share ideas and learn shit! And of course I’ll be walking around in the mau5hax tent A LOT to check out all your work, play around with you guys, and hopefully we can learn from each other. Far more rewarding to me and you than being paid stupid money to stand on a fuckin stage for an hour. Right?” Minutes later, he continued with: “shit, if mau5hax goes down well in Miami… fuckit, I’ll HAPPILY take it on the road and make a tour outta it. Could be rad! I’ll talk with management n shit for sure.”

MAU5TRAP MIAMI LABEL SHOWCASES
Whilst in Miami, mau5trap will also be hosting two special label showcases on the 24th and 25th of March at Fontainebleau Poolside and Amnesia respectively. The shows will feature a host of the acts from the label’s roster over the two evenings and will include some very special gue5ts. Crowds will also have their first introduction to the latest addition to the burgeoning stable, The Frederik.
