“LOL, well after years of trying to make my mark in music there, I simply decided to move…. I mean Savannah is incredible and all but at the the time there were NO outlets for you as an aspiringDJ/Producer. So I made the call with no regrets…”
What was on your stereo as a kid?
“As a kid, whatever my brother Rah as well as my uncle’s were listening to at the time I what I blasted as well… from Parliament Funkadelic to Bob Marley…”
Who are the best Turntablists DJs ever?
“Ahh man… BEST?… I don’t really know how to answer that. I got favorites though from Jam Master Jay, Mix Master, Dj Craze, DJ Netik, DJ SPS, DJ Rafik, Q Bert, Grand Master Rock, Raida – on and on and on…”
How many hours a day do you perfect a style that is acknowledged as one of the best skills on the circuit?
“Wow…thanks! When I’m home, I’m in for about five hours jagged – meaning I’ll practice, go watch Animal Planet, practice, go practice again, Ableton, practice, practice and then beat the shit outta my punching bag – I train Kajukenbo Martial Arts by the way. Then go blaze. Nowadays, my schedule is mad hectic so I try to get practice in when I can…”

“No king…they are all essential as DJs as well superstars in Hip Hop history”
So 1999 saw you join Public Enemy on their 40th World Tour, what were those days like – which band member was the craziest?
“Lol.. those days were like bootcamp, so much torture – PLUS having to prove myself to the world replacing Terminator X. I came in as a rookie and the brothers of Public Enemy made sure I was trained well for the world of tour and solid enough to rep the family. Flavor is by far the craziest… naturally.”
Best Hip Hop Artist, Record, Club, Hip Hop Fashion Clothes Designer of all time?
“I have a few favorites in Hip Hop – Chuck D, RZA, Black Thought, Kool Keith, Pharoah Monch… Busta… Jay-Z… M.O.P..GZA.. Favorite record is ‘Welcome To The Terrodome’ by Public Enemy, Smack Clothing is dope, Sedgewick and Cedar, Rockawear…etc..”
Blingest party you have ever attended?
“This off the wall party in Bangkok – they certainly know how to party and the people were so cool…”
Tell us about your love for Drum & Bass, a bit of a music switch. What DJs, records, clubs and artists have made you move over the years in the Drum & Bass scene?
“My whole experience with Drum & Bass is awesome – I love it. I fell into the scene after being booked on many raves and hearing it blasting in the next tent. Once I investigated it all I was hooked. Over the years, everyone from Dillinja to My Fam Evol Intent has made me move. Fabric is always banging, as well as The Mark In ATL – shouts out 404 Audio too.

“I would say Alicia Keys, really cool in person, down to earth and straight up bad ass.”

“Anything by my crew TrillBass, shouts out to 2 Sense, Claw and Swytch…”
What has been the most difficult DJ Battle you have ever taken part in?
“DMC 2004, jet-lagged, flying in and unprepared routine wise. I did it anyway, but wasn’t me…”
