Scuzzy moustachioed synth-punk zigzags going for the weird vote with a scoffing, get-away-with-this attitude and an enjoyment factor that’s ‘Basic’ at best, especially the breakdown directly taken from a nervous overload. ‘Turning Ugly’ is a little more forgiving, peddling a wide range of digital sleaze jutting out in all directions, presumably recorded from the dingiest of debauchery dens.
