If you’re looking for something a little different this eclectic set is the ray of sunshine in the damp dark winter. The mild mannered Alex Gimeno picks up where his previous two albums left off with another beautiful segwayed collection of jazzy breaks, psychedelic soul shakers and disco stompers. His groovy soundscapes can regularly be heard on the haute couture catwalks and in the coolest cocktail lounges. Most names are new to me, as they will be to you – Carlos Jean, Don Tkik or Tata Vasquez anyone? – but the overall vibe is like chocolate indulgence without the calories.
