Mattafix are a couple of guys with a love for everything Bristol circa 1994, yes they’ve got that trip hop feel & influences, which kinda works. The vocals are sung well & the rhymes are delivered Roots Manuva style, over a sparse backing with some nice tinkly piano that goes off kilter occasionally. But it ain’t ever gonna match up to Massive Attack, Portishead & Tricky, nice try though.
