The smileys and general yellowness about the sleeve leaves you under no illusions. Senor Passarani isn’t necessarily bandanna-clad and yelping ‘acceeid’, but is certainly a fiend for the 303 and the 808. Ambling along nicely in a mainly broken beat, ‘Pacific State’ rate of comfort, lowering the BPMs from the warehouse eases the tie-dyed down easily. In addition to the rave strategy, the other inescapable talking point is of Passarani’s interpretative skills, scratchily remixing The Jungle Brothers late in the day and turning in a po-faced but convincing Alexander O’Neal cover, colouring the sharp suit day-glo.
