Annoying zipped sound and farting sirens aside, ‘Silicon’ is a killer tech house beatdown that’s very reminiscent of early Danny Tenaglia and Tribal / Deep Dish releases. ‘When The Freaks Come Out’ uses less trickery to impress and benefits massively from the space. I love the old electro b-boy / Soulwax-y synth vibe and twisted vocal. And for the heavy techno finale ‘Beatdown & Translucent’ is as mad as a box of frogs with its teacup timpani, whistling, boiling kettle and Mr Oizo twanged knicker elastic bass. It packs a solid punch.
