Nadastrom is the LA-based duo Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom, and they have already made waves with their first track ‘Somebody’, released towards the end of last year. Yet this is another level entirely, a whole album that goes as deep as you like without ever losing its vitality. That much is clear right from the opening scene set by ‘Intro’, after which ‘Go Back’ reveals itself to be a classy piece of work while ‘Hide The Advertisement’ and ‘House Shoes’, with Nina K, are hot and very sultry. ‘Somebody’ and the filtered funk of ‘Go Back’ offer proof they can easily add more energy to proceedings when needed, while ‘Headed Home’ offers a much more delicate approach, keeping that West Coast warmth intact. I strongly advise casting a close eye and ear over the music of these two. With music deeper than the floorboards, they are worth their weight in gold!
