The very idea of the initial release from Jamie Jones and Lee Foss’ brand new label, Emerald City, should be more than enough to tempt fever pitch in itself. And as this so obviously has anthem written all over it that excitement will no doubt play out right the way through to the summer and inevitably the White Isle. The more I hear this the more addictive it gets with Serge Devant & Damiano’s excellent Club Mix combing delicious, moody bass together with hot-wired electronics plus, of course, Camille Safiya’s great vocal delivery. The Jamie Jones and Lee Foss version provides a fresh alternative feeling less energetic than its counterpart but none-the-less pulsating and clearly funky in the process.
