With the recent announcement of a forthcoming third album this new EP acts as a welcome taster of what lies in store. And it’s hard not to fall in love with sumptuous, vocoder melodies on offer with assistance from Peter, Bjorn & John making their presence warmly felt on its title track, ‘From Your Heart’. Musically this mid-paced groove feels breezy with plucky guitar lines accompanied by cool trumpet and the more you listen the more at home you feel. ‘Parallel Problems’ then picks up the pace with House beats providing the basis for a selection of finely tuned FX, percussion and breathy vocals to excite. Third and final track, ‘Nobody Cares’ delivers rougher dancefloor attitude with fuzzy basslines and jerky drums plus more first choice vocals to complete another standout release from Catz ‘n Dogz.
