Young Spanish tech house producer Lui Maldonado has swiftly garnered some important fans. Carola, Dubfire, Luciano and Pig and Dan have all supported his tunes. Here ‘Jungle’ pounds and pummels its message home with a thudding kick, door slamming snares, mlserly hi-hats and a bass line that somehow reminds me of The Rolling Stones’ ‘Emotional Rescue’ pitched down, blindfolded and marched backwards through deserted streets. The System 2 remix is a tech house click track epic with wavering synths, burbling effects and an attitude with a capital A. An assured first release for Zinc.
