However you want to look at it the Barcelona-based duo enviably produce another fine line in funky electronic music this time for the Balance series, which indeed also acts as their first official compilation. Beginning with exotic atmosphere’s that soon expand across the horizons with tensions heightening and a selection of rhythms typified by the excitement of the Âme remix of Akabu’s anthemic ‘Phuture Bound’ the collection of music is nothing short of generally inspiring and first rate. From the crunchy Techno of Radio Slave´s Innervision Remix of Tokyo Black Star ‘Caballero’ to the unforgiving ambience providing by DJ Koze ‘Mariposa’ towards the close of the mix this colourful pastiche of sounds is richly rewarding, feeling organic yet most definitely hot-wired into the main frame.
