Three brand new cuts from the Leeds based DJ/ Producer drive this release into distraction via a cleverly, crafted blend of exciting off-the-wall sounds and ideas. You can’t help but fall for, ‘The Ol’ Boy’ with its risk taking sound FX which combine with effortlessly funky percussion and gritty stabs that make perfect sense in the moment. Dexter Kane provides a notable remix by injecting some more musical movements into the arrangement alongside classic Detroit styled basslines. Next, ‘Entwinement’ continues the combination of vibrant effects and undulating electronics to great effect, with third original ‘Whistle N’ Flute’ completing on relentless, edgy rhythms. Which leaves dub.c & SecondSelf’s curiously titled ‘Moon Mix’ to finish via an exotic flourish of breaks, Flute and a fevered imagination.
