Rufus Du Sol – You Were Right – (Sweat It Out)

Sydney’s favourite sons, Rufus (Rufus Du Sol) return from a brief sojourn in Berlin to deliver and brooding electro pop paen to unrequited love with ‘You Were Right’. The lyric drives it forwards like a mean smash, then it bounces off the bassline like a ball off the Wimbledon back line bouncing up to meet the soaring, spacious synths and swishing effects. It’s uptempo, uplifting and the sort of perfect pop^that makes late night picnics a joy.
