Jill Bellac – Slippin – (Opia)

Jill Bellac is a producer who is very much on the rise. For years he has been toiling away releasing tracks on lots of top labels like South American Sounds, Stereo Seven Plus, Echoes Records, ADS Records, to name a few.He is inspired by the likes of Carl Cox and Sven Vath and often finds himself in the Beatport chart . Here he serves up one solo track and one alongside ASI on the excellent Opia Records abel and both are pure fire.

The first is a squelchy, stripped back bit of rolling minimal tech house with airy hi hats, endless bass, gloopy synths riding up and down the scale and gravel bass. It is elastic and loose, hugely rhythmically and definitely very inviting. The other cut is more of a dramatic piece of music with a big breakdown that really teases listens with its moody atmospheres, dark vocals and eventually, a massive drop. Once this lands you are carried away on the late night groove and over all this is therefore an essential package.
