TONY HATCH & THE SATIN BRASS
SOUNDS OF THE 70’S
LICORICE SOUL

Remember Pepe Delux & their tune which soundtracked a certain famous jeans advert to various people twisting in odd shapes?  If you do, you’ll have one of those “so that’s where they got it from” moments once you hear this. Pepe Delux borrowed huge chunks of UK composer / arranger Tony Hatch’s “Sounds Of The 70’s”, making famous the brass riff that starts, stutters, and then goes around on itself over massive drums, a real funky treat from a bygone era, here making it’s debut on 7″ vinyl.  Flip it over and there’s the equally awesome “Herbin'” which, if anything, is even louder and brassier.  Another surefire winner from one of the best UK 45 re-issue labels around right now.
