If you like super deep and heady music that makes you get lost in your own mind, then his new EP is one for you. It comes from little known but clearly quite accomplished talent Bartolomeo and gets a dope remix from a more recognised name in Einzelkind, who has been kicking out technoid jams on labels like Cocoon for a while.
The original is the standout track though – it is not easy to get music to sound so warm, involving, heady and atmospheric but this guy does it in style. His hi hats are icy and the mood is chilly and sombre, his kicks are smooth and soft yet propulsive and his pads are to die for. The remix is much more tough and upright and will make you sweat more than think, but that’s not to say it isn’t still a total weapon to be used for big impacts in any set. Overall this is a fine EP.
