Bobbin Head label chef, Lawrence Huskinson, aka Husky of Random Soul is not only Australian, but he also knows a thing or two about this thing we call House. He has slowly but continuously built up a very nice and reliable label that puts out very solid tracks. His new offering is no exception to the rule as Russian house extraordinaire, Promonova is back to drop another chunky house toon. Piano driven big room house, combined with some clever vocal cuts, “Sweet Honey” builds into an essential rolling groove that has some anthemic attitude to it.
On the remix is the ever so smooth Deeplomatik aka Seb Skalski. His recent EP’s and remixes on the likes of Salted Music, Random Soul Recordings, Purple Music, and Taste The Music have all hit the spot and that’s exactly why the man is very much in demand these days. His remix for ‘Sweet Honey’ is a deep disco infused gem that already gets serious plays amongst the cooler jocks out there. His unmistakable groove is aided by a chunky guitar and delicate melodies and synths.
There’s something here for any house connoisseur, really!
