Back To Mine with Oliver Huntemann
001 Clouds – Rangleklodz
A very underestimated Band. Love listening to this song, especially the chorus. It deals with the moment when you realize that you ain’t no child anymore but still aren’t an adult.
002. Roads – Portishead
I love the Roseland New York live CD/DVD. Getting goosebumps in the first seconds when the crowd start to scream, my world stops for a moment. One of my all time favorites, even though I listen to it very rarely.
003. Drop The Game – Flume & Chet Faker
Songs like this and artists like Porter Robinson should reconsider your taste in music. Please watch the video, how smooth is the dancer, like a wave, incredible.
004 Karma Police – Radiohead
“Arrest this man, he talks in maths” says basically everything.
005 Tempo de Amor – Céu & Herbie Hancock
Oh Herbie, your music releases all knots of tension.
006 Bad Kingdom – Moderat
Such a powerful song and video, not much more to say in four and a half minutes!
007 It’s Only (DJ Koze remix) – Herbert
Sven Väth made this song quite big and this is not the only one. Respect to Herbert and Koze for breaking all boundaries since ages. Two great artist with honourable attitudes.
008 Teardrop – Massive Attack
Not much to say about Massive Attack. Their music accompanies me felt like my whole life long. This video, in combination with the song is simply terrifying.
009 And I Say – Nicolas Jaar
And I say…What can you say, just lovely.
010 This Love – Craig Armstrong
Sometimes I get the feeling Craig Armstrong’s music is out of this world…So beautiful indeed.
My Own Jungle LP (Savor Music)
Argentinian producer Cape is to drop a dubby debut album on his Savor Music imprint this June.
Real name Fernando Cappelletti, the Rosario native’s early releases arrived on AirDrop Records, followed by appearances on Esperanza and Bavario Recordings before launching Savor Music alongside Jorge Savoretti in 2011. Since then the label has hosted the likes of Felipe Valenzuela, Martinez, Kastil, Marcman and Franco Cinelli whilst garnering a reputation as one of Argentina’s key purveyors of house and techno.
The album’s subterranean aesthetics are present from the beginning, with mesmerising tape echoes in ‘The Real’, deep pads in ‘Trb’ and the rhythmic energy of ‘Rainforest’. ‘Geibi’ then demonstrates intricate pops and glitches before ‘In Amour’ settles for a compelling groove. ‘Flavor’ is then a percussive number with hypnotizing appeal until ‘Faiser’ concludes the album with a punchy, dancefloor driven workout.
Cape ‘My Own Jungle’ LP out now on Savor Music.
