TUSSLE
KLING KLANG
SMALLTOWN SUPERSOUND

The San Franciscans carve the club beat down to its rawest form as to reach the starting point of the dance food-chain. Tussle sound like primitive man working with basics production tools, but once they get cooking, the results are 100% live, electric and sure to start a smitten brawl. Earthy 4/4s and plump bass plucks interchange with ska skips painting the rhythms two-tone, and atmospheric touch-ups here and there tightropes ‘Kling Klang’ between hipbone-attacking funk and dubby Lock Stock shiftiness. It may not range past its throbbing one-two, but their low-key, long lost styling deserves a large audience.
