For those suffering from jet-lag or that have been left in the departure lounge, Adrian Gibson’s intrepid state-to-state soul searching, including jetting across the pond for some Cockney cockle-warming, reaches its natural conclusion. Its freakish consistency levels having never dropped, Gibson reintroduces all the names that count – Dwele, Anthony Hamilton, Amp Fiddler, Platinum Pied Pipers, Plantlife – for a creamy encore. As a finale, this is a great start for heads to discover the US’ soul hotspots through a highly collectable series making other music atlases sound past it.
