JOHN ARNOLD
STYLE AND PATTERN
UBIQUITY

A brilliant second album from Detroit’s John Arnold, with a little help from his friends, chiefly neighbour Jeremy Ellis, with whom he has developed a vital live sound. The opening title track features Ty on guest vocals, the lyrics and beat irresistible – hear this if you can. Alternating between vocal and instrumental to good effect, Arnold also comes up trumps with ‘Geminade’, a real funky workout. Ellis himself guests on ‘Show Your Love’, whilst Amp Fiddler band member Paul Randolph flexes his vocal chords for two numbers. Arnold sure knows how to funk things up and does so in an upfront, confident manner, securing an album that’s rewarding from beginning to end.
