Matt Edwards is famously known around the globe as Radioslave, well now he≠s pushing the boundaries even further under his new moniker Rekid. Following the two headed monster that is ‘85 Space’ b/w ‘Retro Active’, which took club land by storm, leaving a trail of casualties in it’s wake, along comes the album ‘Made In Menorca’, already inspiring Carl Craig, LCD Soundsystem and X-Press 2 to name just a few. Rekid somehow manages to breathe new life into machine music, giving it mixed emotions & feelings, as well as druggy grooves. Picking up where Kraftwerk left off. ‘Made In Menorca’ is the most futuristic album I’ve heard in decades, it’s what you might call a benchmark masterpiece, that is so much more than out there.
