After the sublime ‘Love Is The Answer’ album of last year, Dwight Trible’s earlier opus ‘Living Waters’ gets a welcome reissue on Ninja, further exploring his spiritual side and debt to John Coltrane. Superlatives don’t really do justice to Trible’s voice – distinctively rich; its range has tobe heard to be believed, with his impassioned vocals taking the music to a higher place. A tad lengthy it may be, but this is a record that brings peace and love to the fore, not to mention a well-cultivated style that’s quite complex, yet somehow easy to digest.
