This is by way of an introduction to Patrick Adams and Peter Brown’s US based umbrella label which was established in 1976 and hosted a wealth of independent imprints. Together the pair recorded as Cloud One and their timely ‘Atmosphere Strut’ is included here, as indeed are countless soul sounding gems such as Four Below Zero’s ‘My Baby’s Got ESP’. Though of course that’s not the whole story as apart from the smoother soulful shuffles are tracks like the inspired cosmic Disco rhythms of Clyde Alexander & Sanction ‘Got To Get Your Love’. The two CD set contains some twenty-seven tracks and highlights the diverse quality that was on offer once again with this most welcome re-issue.
