An Irish man living in Barcelona, Ed Devane ventures in Touchin Bass’ darker territories. ‘Giant Bassmantix’ instantly drags you into a mysterious world where industrial sound effects collide with tuff kickdrums and distorted synths, the type of grand, abstract electronica that the people at Warp would be proud of. The other three tracks go plain hardcore; ‘Doubt’, ‘Ramsek’ and ‘Memorandum’ are pure Rephlex material, brutal and captivating nonetheless.
