Born in Nigeria and now based in Germany, Nneka has certainly got a voice on her, just about as soulful as you can get, plus she’s got a hint of Randy Crawford in there also. ‘The Uncomfortable Truth’ is modern day soul built with all the classic elements, a funky groove with handclaps, brass riffs with long stabs, and a song about heartbreak sung from the gut with conviction. Nneka is a sassy soul sister, and her debut single ‘The Uncomfortable Truth’ could quite easily also be her debut hit.
