What’s great about Alice Russell is the fact that her voice is so versatile; it can fit snugly around funk, folk, soul, jazz, reggae and beyond. Little wonder that there’s room for a second collection of collaborations, remixes and alternate takes. Opening with the stunning “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know”, it’s a pleasure to hear again “Seven Nation Army”, plus a new mix of “Hurry On Now” from Boub, and “Could Heaven Ever Be Like This” from the currently hotter-than-hot Bugz In The Attic. Easy to see why Tru Thoughts keeps winning the accolades with material like this. Essential.
