Contrary to the title, this is quite serene and strangely uplifting, in an unusual kind of way. Hailing from Iceland, this sounds like a long forgotten film score in structure and style, but is in fact a rendition of a recording Johannsson’s father made some years ago of an IBM mainframe computer, using an orchestra and electronics alongside tape recordings.
