Leicester’s finest return with the third cut to be lifted from their ‘Empire’ album, and as per usual it’s accompanied with a couple of mighty fine remixes. In it’s original form, ‘Me Plus One’ sees Kasabian taking more of a psychedelic route, as LSD harmonies ride a handclap groove, before bursting into brightly coloured showers of Indian instrumentation. Jacques Lu Cont serves up the remixes adding a large dose of MDMA as he turns on the house treatment, working a fat bassline and distant 303 into a swirling mass, that leads to an arms raised, energy overload, Chemical Bros / Fatboy Slim podium moment. This’ll have‘em bouncing off walls on a global scale. It’s not new, but it is big and it is clever.
