Tiesto’s emotive trance continues to shift units by the bucketload but continues to deliver quality, managing not to overdo it on the cheese. ‘Elements of Life’ might seem more of the same – it is, essentially – but there’s always something a bit different about the way Tiesto takes on commercial trance, like the electro drum that kicks off ‘In The Dark’, or the strong riff that powers ‘Carpe Noctum’. BT delivers yet another big chorus on ‘Break My Fall’, Maxi Jazz some moody thoughts on ‘Dance4Life’, while Jes and Julie Thompson add floaty vocals to their tracks. Solid primetime trance all round.
