There are dark, moody beats on Radio Slave’s contribution to the increasingly essential ‘Misch Masch’ series. It’s quite minimal stuff as well, though the mixer knows not to slacken the pace or strip back the material too much – cuts like Roman Fluegel’s ‘Mutter’ and Shed’s ‘Well Done’ still have plenty of interest. The Villalobos remix of Shackleton’s ‘Blood On My Hands’ is especially powerful here, while Radio Slave’s mixes of Beat Galore Friction, Deetron and Trentemoller offer plenty of substance. CD2 concentrates on remixes, with big names queuing up for the Radio Slave treatment – here, Cagedbaby, Carl Craig and Jamelia get especially good reinterpretations.
